Our Journey, Vision, and Commitment to the Community
We are a Secondary Level Cooperative Union operating in the Galle District of Sri Lanka, established to strengthen, support, and guide primary cooperative societies under our purview.
Since our establishment in 1979, we have played a key role in promoting cooperative values, ensuring financial stability, and providing institutional support to member societies. Our services focus on financial management, supervision, capacity building, and the sustainable development of cooperatives across the district.
We currently operate through a network of 16 branches, covering the entire Galle District, enabling us to deliver efficient, accessible, and reliable services to our member societies and stakeholders.

Our journey began in 1979, with a strong commitment to supporting and strengthening the cooperative movement in the region. In 1998, we marked an important milestone by moving into our own premises at the Thaksala Building.
